I earned a scholarship while I was a freshman for a major that I soon changed. I think it was for like $700 and I didn't even remember the name. It was just given to me because I think I had a good high school GPA. But do I need to report this? I sort of already finished my applications and didn't think this would be important. Are they going to find this in my history and penalize me for not reporting it?

Ok I found it, deep in my undergrad financial records: The scholarship was a memorial scholarship for $750 for my first year. I forgot to mention it on all of my apps. Do adcoms really care about your old scholarships (such that if I’d remembered to include it, I’d have a better shot)? I have Deans Honor List listed multiple times (which I remembered).

Bump.

Can somebody please tell me how much weight 1 (missing) scholarship would carry in my application? Is it worth calling every school that I applied to, to either note this change or ask to resubmit?

I don’t think it would matter at all.

Thanks RR. I actually emailed one of the admissions counselors (the nicest one, LOL!) and like you, she said it wouldn’t effect my application. Yay!

IM DONE WITH APPS!!!
