Reporting your SAT score..Writing optional??

<p>it says "optional" next to the SAT1 Writing score
does that mean that i dont have to report it even though i took the new SAT??</p>

<p>When you send in your score report, CollegeBoard sends all of them, meaning they'll see it anyway. You might as well report it.</p>

<p>That being said, MIT is not going to use the writing score for evaluative purposes, and people have been known to get in with what are traditionally considered abysmal scores. The blogger Mollie's</a> boyfriend got in with a 450 writing SAT II.</p>
