Republican-bashing is such low-hanging fruit

And yet I still relish it. I love it when people bash Palin/Bush/O'Donnell/whatever, I enjoy every little iota of anti-Republican bashing. And they very well deserve most of it. But it's such low-hanging fruit and I wish I didn't care. I wish I could magically stop caring about them. Oh why, oh why, oh why?

And they think that about Democrat-bashing.

The Democrats aren’t as fun to bash. They’re not so quirky as the Republicans.

Politician bashing in general is low-hanging fruit…

…yet so enjoyable, speaking as a liberal.

I even enjoy getting bashed on occasion—it’s hilarious.

I think communist bashing is the most fun from a libertarians perspective, no matter what letter they have in front of their name :D

^ Nah, big brother welfare states one-up communists.

Nazi libertarian communists are a hoot.

I love seeing stupid politician reactions. I don’t know why, but Republicans tend to say things without thinking. Democrats are…just…not as “funny” to listen to. As for Obama, the day that I laugh at one of his comments will be the day that mankind is united in peace.

^ Yeah, republicans tend to boldly assert grand-sounding nonsense, while democrats smilingly say complicated nothings.

It’s the difference between “My friends, we are not scared, we are ANGRY!” and “That depends on what the definition of “is” is.”

Both can be good for laughs, and if you play them off each other well they won’t do TOO much damage.

Or so is the cynical view of politics.

^ Frankly, I have no intention of ever voting for anyone. I don’t like the system and the parties themselves. I do love politics and the inner machinery of it though, I just do not feel the need to vote. I love watching politics, but something I just end up shaking my head and understanding that the government is screwed up. I simply accept their stupidity only because that’s just how the world goes.

@ InquisitiveOne: Lmaooo ! Agreed.

Funny how people blame politicians for their stupidity. They’re only doing what gets them elected. Politics is a free market, and the free market gets the people what they want.

^ Not to hear the politicians tell it, it doesn’t…

@chicken: The thing is that if you had the chance to vote and you didn’t then you have no right to complain about what the government does.

@Mosby: I’m not necessarily complaining, I simply am pointing out that I am amused by the idiocy of politics. Also, to me, voting is futile because all the choices available (even if my vote counted toward the person I wanted) would simply end up the same way. Frankly, I am not complaining because our government is better than nothing and it does get the job done(sometimes).

… ?

@chicken: Yeah, I figured. But I intend to vote because I want to be able to complain :P.

@TCBH: According to the politicians, free market does NOT get the people what they want. Hence they have to jump in and regulate anything that moves.

What was the Reagan quote… ah yes: “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”

Are you saying that people really want stupid politicians?

^ My turn to …?

Say again?

People want stupid politicians?
