Reputable Certificate Programs in Graphic Design

Hi,

I have done my under grad in Mass Media Advertising from India.
I worked with MTV for a year and have been freelancing since.
Ideally, I would love to go to a top notch US graphic design school for a Masters,
but it is just TOO damn expesnive, since I wanna go to either New York, LA or San Fran only.

So, i was considering doing a certificate program instead, which is more economical.

Are there any good ones, where the main faculty teaches and the protfolios are fantastic?

I'd really appreciate any help, AND QUICK! :)

PS- what do you guys think about the Design Communication Arts Program at UCLA Extension? I've heard the portfolios there are pretty below average. And since I'm travelling across the globe, I want to end up with a top notch portfolio!

Its not too expensive if you are good enough to get financial aid/scholarships. But I don’t think anyone on this forum will be able to help you out much since nearly all of us are aspiring undergrads. And there’s no one aiming for mass media to the best of my knowledge either.

I’m aiming for graphic design, not mass media.

I was talking about us undergrad aspirants, and I mentioned mass media coz thats whats you did for undergrad. Anyways, that need not be debated upon. I would suggest you look here for starters- [Graphic Design - Fine Arts - Graduate Schools - Education - US News and World Report](http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-fine-arts-schools/graphic-design)
Check out the university sites, especially the financial aid sections, and email them about whatever you would like to know.
