Reputation:Tough to get in, tougher to stay in

Thanks ucbalumnus for your input. Yes he understands that 70% of premeds end up not even applying to med school but nonetheless remains insistent. He also noticed the lack of career data in the College of Natural Resources. He is quite intrigued with the Molecular Toxicology major and I hope it won’t be difficult for him to switch from CLAS if that is what he decides. I think he was hoping cog sci was more like neuroscience. He was admitted to neuroscience at UCLA but has his heart set on being a BEAR! I just want him to have options and not be locked in. My top priority would be to pick a major that upon graduation is employable. I had hoped he would pursue engineering for this reason. I was curious in general with what is perceived as the difference in pursuing a major in the CLAS versus CNR. Is CLAS more highly regarded than CNR?
