Requesting a major change after submitting application?

I have two questions:

Does requesting a MAJOR CHANGE in a college after I submitted all the materials is unusual?
If I were to change it, would I need a specific letter regarding the request explaining WHY I AM REQUESTING THE CHANGE?

Also, is requesting a change in ACADEMIC INTERESTS in the COMMON APPLICATION bad?
I put "agriculture" in my second option, when there is no agriculture major or school in the school I am applying to. Do you think changing it would be bad, drawing attention to the change?

Overall, do you think changing anything would be bad, as it would draw attention to my application??

Most people end up changing their major when they’re in college anyway, so it shouldn’t be too bad. And you shouldn’t be so scared of “draw[ing] attention” to your application. They’re going to read it eventually.
