Requesting an interview

What should I write to my EC in an email? I have the feeling that if i write something like:

hi im ********. Im applying to mit and i you are my ec

thanks

im gona sound completely dumb

quote: "...and i you are..."

Uh, yeah. That might not make a good impression.
Do yourself a favor and craft an email note to your EC that incorporates traditional English grammar and usage. Boring, I know, but you can do it. There's nothing wrong with the phrase you wrote in the original post, apart from the grammatical errors. Clean up that phrase and follow it up with a brief statement about how you're looking forward to the interview and ask what dates, times, and places might be convenient to meet. You can also explain any constraints on your own schedule and on the distance you can travel.

just say who u are, and that u are applying to MIT EA or RD. It is to your knowledge that you can schedule an interview. Then ask to schedule one and provide ur address, email, phone number, etc.

is it better to call or go by email?

I would email him, wait a few days, then call him.
