Requesting dorm mate increases chance of getting a room you want?

<p>I've heard that if you request a dorm mate, you are more likely to get a room type that you request. Is this true? :/</p>

<p>I don’t think it increases your chances. As far as I know, a good chunk of freshmen get triples whether you request a roomie or not. Seems like most of my S’s region in So. Cal. ended up in Clark Kerr. He’s been happy there.</p>

<p>It’s mostly true. They rather give a double to 2 people who request each other b/c that just decrease the % of there being dramas during the school year.</p>
