Requesting Roommate

<p>Any current Cornellians...what is your opinion on requesting a roommate if you want a double? Do you think that its a bad idea/inhibit meeting new people if you are with someone you requested? And also, do a lot of people request their roommates or are there plenty of people who dont? And...how likely is it that you actually get your request if you request someone? Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>And also like...let's say you want to be in Donlon and you end up getting Balch or something which i would hateee...is it easy to switch out? I hope so haha</p>

<p>Well, I don't know about anything else, but if you know a person pretty well that would get along with you, I would definately ask for that person to be my roommate. Roommates usually have hard time getting along with each other (no wonder, everybody's from different backgrounds...Different noise tolerence, different sleeping schedules, etc) and you really don't want to stress yourself out more than you'll already be from studying... but that's just my opinion.</p>
