I'm in love with MIT and I hope that I transfer into MIT after my sophomore year. However, as I started working on my transfer application I found out that I'm missing a solid reason why I wanna transfer. I mean, MIT is definitely my dream school and I've always aimed for this school but I cannot just apply for the prestige. So I was hoping if any MIT student or anybody else who knows the school well can tell me about the academic program that makes MIT so unique. Again, I want something SPECIFICALLY related to the academic program. Please don't say things like "top students with great facilities and professors blahblablah..." I want DETAILS. For instance, u can mention the Cross Registration which allows MIT student to experience both Harvard and wellsley(opportunities like this is pretty much nonexistent at my school) However, I'm pretty shure that MIT won't recommend cross registration for transfers since the adjustment will take time. Thus, I'm looking for some other reasons that can link me with MIT. I'm looking for something that distinguishes MIT from the other schools and especially mine, UIUC. By the way, I'm a electrical engineering major.

I will really appreciate your time.
Thanks
