Im going to have an interview with a cornell alumnus as part of the school of architecture admission process and Im REALLY nervous about it. Since the interview is a required part of the admission process I presume it plays a significant role. But does anybody know exactly how big of a role it plays?
Also I would really appreciate ANY advice from anyone who have been through the in-campus or alumnus interview process. Thanks!

I applied to the urban studies program , but during an information session the director of admissions stated that the interview counted for 1/3 of the admissions process. 1/3 Interview 1/3 Portfolio and 1/3 Grades and SAT.

yesss you DEFINITELY NEED IT. it plays a HUGE role in the admissions process. dress nicely, and practice talking about your portfolio pieces. im in architecture at cornell now, and it definitely helped knowing what i was going to say abotu each thing

haha my prof says a lot of the students he interviewed tend to be cocky..prob cause they think they know a lot about architecture when they really don't lol
