Well, Europeans can speak English, but they tend to have a very dim view of those who can ONLY speak english

MehediMD:
Yeah, I hope so too, haha.

Just a note: If you’re in CHASS and going for a Bachelor of Science degree, you only have to take three quarters of foreign language. If you’re going for a Bachelor of Arts, you have to take four quarters of a foreign language.

If you have a double major with mixed BS/BA degrees, you have to take four quarters of a foreign language.

I took three levels of Spanish in high school. The third level was during junior year, so I haven’t had Spanish for two years. I took the placement test and placed into Spanish 2. I hope it won’t be too difficult. :/

FYI: A lot of CHASS majors require foreign language not only as a university requirement but because it’s practical and essential for the field you’re entering, like anthropology, art history (mostly European languages), etc.

excellent write up shesasensation, glad to see you back on CC!

What are the requirements for a CNAS B.S. major?

i think it depends on your major
there should have been a brown colored sheet that listed the breadth requirements you need
there’s also a catalog online for each specific major
