I'm going through the course book of all the classes available for freshman. I AM OVERWHELMED!!! What classes are required for freshman? If I am going to apply for Ross, what classes are required?

I have no clue how to approach going through the course book and I hear the consulers at orientation expect you to pretty much know which classes you are taking.

PLEASE HELP!

If you go on the Ross website, it will tell you what classes are required to be taken as a freshman. I think you need Calc I and Econ 101 and first year writing and 27 credits between fall and winter. Nothing is reqiured first semester.

Look for classes that sound interesting.

I would also add that of all classes available, try to take some challenging ones rather than just taking “easy” courses freshman year. Ross admissions know what the challenging courses are compared to easy ones. If you can do well in challenging courses (for example math or science related), then it looks better than just getting all As in easy courses.

Just do it like HS. Math, Science, English and Social Studies if you really have no idea.

Or be an engineer. We have no choice…

Oh just as a tip (forgot in my prev post), don’t take too many challenging classes at once (have a balance and explore).

My first semester I took Engineering 101 (Programming), Econ 101 (Micro), Calc III (Multivariable / Calc in Space), and Chem 130 (Gen Chem) in the same semester, and worked 15 hours part time. All of these classes are generally considered challenging (with maybe the exception of Chem 130 which could just be a lot of work depending on person). I spent all my freetime studying and found myself having no life.

I regret doing that, and hopefully will never have to do it again. I would recommend you don’t either.

I would definitely split up econ and calc to different semesters, and try to take at max 2 challenging courses a semester (unless you’re an engineer then you might have to take 3).

Yeah Engineers are pretty BA

And lol at "Calc in space "
