Required graduation time

Im a CCC student and I want to transfer to UCDavis for engineering. In order to complete all the requirements they have on assist I will end up at 86.5 units possibly more. Will all of these credits count? If not will I get credit for taking them but not unit credits? So I wont have to take classes over again even if the units for them didnt count? (hope this makes sense).

Also, is there a required timeframe that I have to graduate by from the time I transfer there? I recently started hearing about this and I have also heard that its something the university says you need to do but if you take longer than the 2 years (or however long it is) then they don't kick you out.

Thanks

They will count towards subject credit, so you won’t have to take them again. Since you completed all the courses at a CCC, the unit limit isn’t applied.

I think it’s three years, the cutoff.

Good luck! [:

Will it affect my chances for admission that it is going to take 3 years at CCC to get all the reqs done? (I started of as business major, then switched to engineering).

not at all. I broke my neck to get out of CCC in 2 years, but the trend is toward 3 years. My counselor even told me I should take my time and worry about my grades, NOT getting done faster (I didn’t listen lol)

Nope! It’s better to have all your pre-reqs done! Then you can automatically go into upper division work. (Plus it saves you money!)

[:

Ok great! I didn’t think it would matter but I saw a thread or something about it and it made me rethink.
