Required Rec. Letter from High school counselor?

First post!
Woohoo!
I'll try to keep it short.

At public high schools in my state, you are required to get a Rec. letter from your counselor. My problem is that my school has 4,000 people and even worse, my counselor has the most students to deal with. I'm going to be a junior this year and every time I've gone to see my counselor(which is like once a month-ish), he looks at me like he has never seen me before in his life. Any hints on being memorable and (hopefully) getting a good Rec. letter?

Any help is appreciated!

Make sure you talk to him first! Be kind and genuine. At my school, we give the counselor a sheet we filled out with our interests, hobbies, extra curriculars to help them out in writing our recommendations. You can try doing something similar to that too :)

We don’t do that at our school but I’ll see if he’ll take it! It was pretty awkward in my freshman year because my mother made me take him cookies…

Thanks so much! :)

You can always bring him more cookies. It could help :P

Haha, I’ll definitely think about it ;)
