most schools expect you to take at least one math/science one... if I were you, I'd look into taking either Math IC or IIC, Bio, or Chem... (Math IC is easiet in my opinion)

It's not a bad idea to take more than is "required." First of all, if you are going to be doing a non-math major, and you do poorly on it, then 1) you don't necessarily have to report it and 2) it won't have as much of a negative impact because after all, youre not going for a math major. That said, if you do well, it shows that you have a wider array of abilities. Also, other school that you may choose to apply to may require it, so all the way around, it's not a bad idea to go for it.

I agree with the fact that other schools might require a Math SAT, but I personally think there's no need to take more than is required. Seriously, don't spread yourself out too thin. Score very high on a few, not average on a lot. Also, you should be concentrating on other things besides tests, like your essays and EC's, and grades.

unless your planning on doing really well on the lit. test, i would take the US history exam---its more relavent to what you want to do---i ended up not applying to g-town, but that was the line up i had for g-town:world, spanish, and us----didn't you say you were fluent in mandarin?(i'm assuming you can read the language as well)---if you are most definitely take that test too -----in the end though i really don't think the SATII's add up too much for G-town---just make sure you get a 650 or above on each on them and you should be golden

I don't know about the SAT II's not counting for much for Georgetown. I think you have a good balance of subjects, but like in my other post, it wouldn't hurt to throw in math or science (obviously if other colleges require it).

armcp, I'm fluent in Spanish... not in Mandarin. I'm planning to learn Mandarin next year when I stay in China, but I am in no way fluent in it.

That said, I might take the American history test. I'm a history wiz, so it won't be a problem. I'm predicting two 800s for the Spanish and World History SATs II that I take, and maybe a 700 in Lit. Let's see... maybe those three will be enough, but if I can pull an 800 on the American history one, then why not try it as well? It can only help me.
