<p>hi i got rensselaeur medalist a few months back but was accepted ea to another school. i keep getting e-mails fro the rensselaeur people. am i required to apply if i'm a medalist. it's optional, right?</p>
<p>Oh, nevermind, I just found the answer. 
BTW Good luck to all applying to RPI! I really liked the school myself (i’m the math/sciency type), but I wouldn’t want to go all the way to NY.</p>
