required to send grades senior year?

Do students have to send their 1st semester senior grades to colleges for an acceptance decision? I'm just curious because I'll be done applying to 90% of my schools before Winter break, which is before senior semester grades are reported. Do I have to bother sending the grades AGAIN once they are released? My school charges for transcripts and I don't feel like hashing out $25 to resend grades..

any input/experiences with this?

Will Q1 grades senior year suffice?

From what I have heard, if you get accepted before the first semester is over (and thus they only have your first quarter grades while doing applications), you only send your final year grade which they would either rescind you or keep your matriculation open.

Well the thing is I don't think I'd be accepted before semester grades are out. Most my app deadlines are January 1st and 15th, and my semester grades usually will get sent out around mid-January.. Should I send after the deadline, or should I just wait to send the grades after I'm accepted to a school?

any more input?

Why would you consider applying AFTER the deadline?! That's not even possible. Get the app. in ASAP if I was you....

I'm sorry, maybe I'm not being clear..

I don't intend on applying AFTER the deadline, it's just my semester grades will not be released until after the application deadline--I still plan on submitting my app/transcripts, my senior year grades just wont be present..

I'm asking should I then send these in ASAP (still after the deadline) or just forget about senior year grades?

Ask your school and/or the schools you are applying to if you aren't sure.
