For example, if I have a 2.5gpa and am applying as a Hospitality major vs. someone with a 3.5gpa applying for an engineering major could I still get in over the Engineering major based on how many students are declaring each major and their average GPAs?</p>
<p>depends on the college. if the college separates their applicants such that applicants apply to a certain school (school of engineering, school of business, etc), instead of having the applicants apply to that college in general, then they probably will only compare you to the applicants who are applying to the same school you are.</p>
