Under Cornell's list of requirements, for CALS, "SAT II tests in Math and Sceince are reccommended". Does this mean that they are required? I am interested in business but did not take a science SAT II.

I know that many of cornell's schools offer business related programs. How do you show that you are right for each school? (ILR, CALS, Hotel Management)?

Thanks for the help in this very confusing process!

They are not required and given that you're interested in business, they probably would just want to see an SAT II in Math. Don't fret. I think all three schools prepare you well, but each school has its own personality, requirements, etc.ILR-tons of reading, good networking i'm sure, Hotel-youll have to take some cooking courses, gears you best for hotel management, CALS-not too many non-major requirements so this gives you more flexibility and is cheaper if you're a NY resident. You should look at each of the school's website and course requirements/offerings to see what fits you best.

for the college of engineering... do you think an interview is required?

If i remember well, there isn't a required interview. Sometimes they ask for interviews of they feel that their application wasn't very strong but are nonetheless interested in the applicant. I think only the hotel schools require interviews.

interviews are only for hotel and AAP. alumni interviews for the other colleges are largely inconsequential
