<p>uh in order to qualify for AR a student must show that she/he has a Gpa below a certain amount (varies by school). Once the renewal application is approved, the average will be recalculated to remove the classes in which the student performed badly. For students with a marginal grade point average, this can sometimes make a significant difference. In most cases, students may only apply for AR for one semester.
