Requirements for Transfer application to UCLA?

Hi, I’m a sophomore in Washington University in St. Louis, and I’m posting this question out of desperation. I feel like I won’t be able to fulfill the classes I need to take by spring of sophomore year in order to qualify to apply to UCLA as a transfer.

I thought I wouldn’t be accepted into the Engineering School, so I am thinking of applying for the Mathematics of Computation major. But M of Computation also asks for me to have completed “intermediate/advanced C++ programming and one discrete structures course,” and all the programming I’ve done is Comp Sci 1, which was in Java.

Even if I start taking C++ next spring, it seems like I won’t be able to fulfill the req. It seems like not many students would have completed C++ to an intermediate/advanced level by sophomore year…does this req really disqualify you from applying??? Same goes for the major’s General Chemistry requirement; I didn’t take GenChem and it seems like I won’t be able to in the future. Should I give up on UCLA and move on? Thanks in advance.
