I would like to transfer into a different college for the second semester of college. I'm currently going to be a fresh. undergrad. Im possibly going to have 16 credit hours first semester.

BUT. This is what it says on the transfer application.

"A transfer applicant is one who has completed at least 20 acceptable semester hours at another regionally accredited college or university and has graduated from high school or received a GED."

Would they still accept the 16 credit hours if I will maintain a decent GPA during the first semester (3.5) ? Or are they strict when it comes to stuff like this.

I dunno, honestly. I transferred with a really, really low number of credits on record (9, lol), and tended to just cross off the schools that had anything other than “One semester of full time enrollment”

What LUC is saying is that if you have less than 20 credits, then you apply as a freshman rather than as a transfer student.

Schools vary in what they consider a transfer, some consider you a transfer if you have had any college post HS, others say that you are a transfer only if you have completed a certain number of credit hours.

If I were to submit an application as a fresham would they be looking at my high school grades and act scores rather than my college GPA and grades?
