I got into Wharton ED and have been trudging my way through the rest of senior year like all successful ED applicants. All of my grades are pretty good except for my AP Lit grade, which may turn out to be a C or D due to one late paper (my teacher is a huge dick and won't give me a break).

Do you think that my admission will be rescinded? Is there anything I should do to better my situation? Do you know of anyone who has actually been rescinded at Penn (if so, what was his/her particular situation)?

Thank you for your input!

A C? Almost certainly not. A D. That’s pushing it, but it’s far far more likely that you will be put on academic probation for one semester if anything. Just wait and see how things turn out, but don’t freak out too much right now. Perhaps you could call the admissions office and ask to speak with the officer in charge of your region?

Not true. A C can get someone rescinded. And yes, I know of someone who was stupid enough to slack off in some drawing class, got a C, and got rescinded.

But a C in AP Lit? AP Lit isn’t exactly a joke, so I think Penn people would be a bit more lenient with that.

Historically that has not happened from what I have seen. However, with so many kids on the waiting list that have done well that last quarter, I wouldn’t blame the school one bit if it replaced you with one of those kids.
