They won't rescind. They may send a letter telling you to get your **** together at worst. It is possible that they will put you on academic probation, but I doubt it.

So A's are ok, B's are ok, C's are ok, but D's and F's aren't? Great, I have 2 C+s, I don't need to worry so much, but I'm not taking any chances. Time to get those up to Bs.

Student may not be rescinded, but as venskater stated, student can start out their college life on academic probation (btw, they would have to report to any grad school, law school or med school asking the question)

most schools never rescind but they will w/o doubt put you on academic probabation if you do that bad...just don;t get any c's gl!

Without a doubt huh? Stop trying to scare the dude. They *may/i put him on academic probation. If everyone with his grades was put on academic probation, 30% of the entering class would be affected.

How do you know it isn't happening no one is going to stand up and announce it. At my D's school students have been academically dismissed after one bad term (having entered college on academic probation)

BAD is Ds and Fs....C is still passing an its AP physics

Just try an bring that up to a B, just so you wil chill a bit....

No one is going to recind you for those grades....the colleges don't want people to blow off school entirely once they are in

If you enter a school on academic probation, which is doubtful in this case, and you do badly, which to me would probably be failing...remember Cs are passing....then sure they can dismiss you

I don't think the OP has the intention of messing up once he is in school...

THey won't do anything now...does Gtown even see the transcrits of EA applicants for this quarter anyway

Just work on physics, don't get senorities too much and relax, you will be fine

I was mainly responding the "academic probation without a doubt" from the previous post. I had a D in English second semester senior year. I didn't get academic probation, no letter warning me, nothing. And it was Top-30 U.S News School.
