Rescind chances...

Hi,

It never occurred to me that my second trimester grades could be a problem. But more and more I read some of the posts here I am concerned about my case.

I am admitted (RD) to Cornell CoE and deposited. My grade till Junior year is 3.94 out of 4.0 (3.998 out of 4.3). Took 4 AP's till 11th grade and just one B+ in one trimester all others are in A's.

Now in my senior year I am doing 4 AP's, MultiVariable Calc and Linear Algebra (nline last two). Unfortunately, first trimester I got 3 A- and 1 B+ (AP Eng/Lit). In second trimester 1A-, 1B+, 2Bs.

The two online courses are in A-s so far and will be so as a full year end grade. Third trimester I may have 2 B-s and two A-s.

Do you think I need to contact Cornell? Should I make sure I accept safer schools fearing Cornell could rescind me - so that I have a choice? This doubt didn't occur before I deposited and now I am stressing up as the year comes to an end.

I sincerely help your help and advice.

Thanks

You should be fine. A lot of seniors slack off the final semester. Your grades are not bad enough to be rescinded. Enjoy your summer, but be prepared to work hard once you get to Cornell. It won’t be a cakewalk.

@oldfort - thanks for the response.

Current students - can you please let me know based on your (or friends) experiences?

Thanks in advance.

No Ds, Fs or felonies – otherwise you’re fine. Plz relax

Haha, you’re worried about 'B’s?

Hahaha naive high schoolers. You have nothing to worry about AT ALL.

I have seen people with straight up D’s not get rescinded before. Don’t cheat, don’t get busted for drugs, and don’t rape anybody.

Thank you all for your support and advice. I know as long as 3 stay in B’s with one A may not be so bad (not at all good too). But worrying if something slips to C in the next three weeks.

B’s won’t even make them look twice. A handful of C’s or any D’s/F’s/terrible marks on your record would be when you would want to start worrying.

All colleges want their incoming freshmen to “successfully complete” their high school curriculum. High schools will send them proof kids graduate - or not.
