Rescind help!!

So my second semester grades: AP Lit-C, AP Calc-D, IB spanish-D, AP stat-B, IB History-C, IB bio-C. My gpa was a 2.5. All the classes i got a D in were excess a-g courses. What are my chances of still attending UCR?? thanks.

I’ll let you know in 3 days when my decision comes back :(

Well, the Ds’ and the 2.5 GPA definitely don’t help…

I guess you can remember that colleges don’t want anyone slacking off second semester just because they’d already been accepted

Although in the other threads, the people who got their admissions rescinded had D’s in a-g courses. You might be ok

even though you might be ok but 2 D’s?? you should try calling UCR before its too late

well i emailed my admission counselor 2 times before school even ended because i knew these were the grades i was getting but she never replied. Also i believe my history teacher messed up grades. I’m 95 % sure i got a B in the class so hopefully my gpa will go up.

Never email. I emailed CSULB and they never responded and it cost me the admission

well i hope i can make you feel better.
around 2 weeks ago UCR got my transcript with
D+ - AP CALC BC
D- - AP PHYSICS
C+ - AP ENGLISH
B+ - World Problems
B - Economics

I didn’t get recinded.
I passed my AP calc test with probably a 4-5 don’t know the score yet.
I really slacked off. It was my first time getting lower than B->_>
My SAT’s were also fairly high I guess.
770 on Math 2
710 on Biology
2100 on SAT Reasoning.

Hope that gives you an idea on how they look at things.
I called immediately when they received the transcript btw which might have helped.

holy smokes, so many D’s

I got 2260 :D

haha show offssssssssssssss
smoked my 2040

thanks for the replies, but what do i say if i call??

You should just be honest about what happened and ask if there is anything you can do to stay. Just let them know how much you want to stay at UCR.

SAT is stupid
it’s just a test for elitists
thankfully they’re planning to remove it in a couple years
i think sat 2s are completely gone for class of '12

Whiteclock. Please explain yourself. What do you think is going on with you?

Well, getting high scores on SAT is awesome, so I can’t complain

But I’m not elitist… I’ve run into elitists and the experience was bad

In any case, if they are gonna remove it, then I could start telling horror stories about the SAT test to young’uns lol

“The test took over three hours!!”

“AAAGH!!!”

:P

lol whether or not the CB takes it or not, i dont care. and wont affect me

Whiteclock; I guess I meant, why are you on this Riverside thread? What is your GPA and why?

oh

just commenting

GPA unweighted was like 3.001, literally

And I am going to UCR this year, if that’s what you were wondering…

You sound sort of like my son. What’s with the GPA? Missing assignments? Attendance?

I tend to be lazy sometimes with school, not homework but studying for tests, and essays

I usually get A’s and B’s in math and science, but when it comes to english and foreign language, the place was littered with C’s, since I don’t like english and spanish classes…

weighted was about 3.7 though

English class was the worst experience of my life. I stopped procrastinating because of it

LOL Whiteclock your just like me

i had 3.2unweighted and 3.7 weighted. i aced all my math and science courses but foreign language and especially english killed my gpa. i was surprised that i managed to get a 4 in Literature when i barely passed the class with a C.
