Rescind if a D for a UC? PLEASE HELP

I just got admitted to UCSD. The thing is, I’m not sure if I will ultimately get a C in my AP Calc BC class. I feel like I might get a D, and I’m so stressed out. I really don’t want to get rescinded.I thought I would ask here before my socially anxious self would contact the admissions office.

  • I already fulfilled my a-g requirements, as I took geometry in 9th, algebra 2 and stats in 10th, and finally pre-calc in 11th, but I needed to take this Calc class to continue my college physics class (or trust me, I would’ve dropped)
  • I’ve gotten straight A’s up until my B in my pre-clac class and C in first semester of Cal. Trig is just NOT my thing. (I’m majoring in human bio so its not that important ig but it still is)
  • never took Calc AB. Straight to BC based on my counselor’s recommendation
  • I’ve literally tried everything to bring me grade up: tutoring, extra credit, different study methods, etc. but nothing seems to work

Ultimately, will I get rescinded for a D in my AP Calc BC class second semester, even if I’ve already fulfilled my a-g recs for math?
Please send help.
Thanks!

The rule of thumb for most of the UC’s is a 3.0 weighted GPA and no D’s or F’s Senior year. It does not matter if you have fulfilled the a-g course requirements since most students attending UCSD have exceeded these requirements. Getting a D 2nd semester could result in your admission being rescinded so I do everything within your power to make sure you end up with a C- or higher such as tutoring and extra credit. UCSD will review each situation on a case by case basis, but if you are sure you will end up with a D, then contact admissions and see kind of options you may have. Be proactive now and find what you can do keep your acceptance.

thank you so much!
