Hii, I am an international IB student and was predcited a 38 on 42. However it seems that I will not get more than a 29 or a 30 out of 45 in my final exams. Will Brandeis rescind my offer of admission for an 8 point grade fall?

I highly doubt that. Doing well on your IB exams just sets you up for earning college credit (which allows you to skip first-year classes and get accelerated). In other words, you get more quality of education for your money. My counselor once addressed the our grade at a “Senioritis Assembly” back in February telling us that about a 15-20 point drop would be trouble, but I think you’ll be fine. I’m an IB diploma student as well predicted a 37 out of 42 but I think I might drop off a few to a 33 or 34 =P

Good luck with your remaining exams! Which ones do you have left?

Thank you for your reply martinez15. I was a little worried since my offer letter stated that “your offer to Brandies is contingent upon your maintaing high levels of academic excellence.” I have been hyperventilating ever since i read that.
I have two papers left. Economics HL and french ab sl. I hope they go well.
Which ones do you have left? Loads of luck to you too.

Well, honestly I think what they mean to say in nicer words is “Don’t f*** up the rest of High School by letting your GPA drop by 2 whole points” something like that… Again I’m not so sure but I know for a fact that UK college admissions are conditional, meaning you need to score at least above a certain score to get in. I highly doubt that’s the case for US colleges…just do your best in your remaining papers! Ohhh nice I have Econ HL and Spanish B SL so I’m done on wednesday!!! You Frenchies end last snickers Thanks, good luck to you too!
