Rescind Policy

Hey, I got my acceptance letter a couple days ago, I was reading it and it said that if I get lower than a 3.5 or a C during spring semester I may be rescinded. IS this what a SGR is or do all transfer acceptances have this rescind policy?

An SGR is a Spring Grade Request, and it is made of transfer applicants who have not yet been accepted.

You have received you acceptance (CONGRATS!!!), so this is NOT an SGR. All acceptances (whether for freshman or transfer admission) are conditional on completing your current courses as reported on your application with grades of C- or higher. So yes, all transfer acceptances have that rescind policy.

Good luck!!!

@alamemom‌ thank you ! I Was just surprised that it came so early because everyone said it is very unusual any idea why it might have came so early?

They have been reporting acceptances on the (currently 167-page!!!) USC Transfer thread for a few days now: <a href=“Official USC 2014 Transfer Thread - Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1520682-official-usc-2014-transfer-thread-p1.html</a> . Transfer acceptances are spread out over an agonizingly long time. Some arrive in May, and by early June all applicants will have received either an acceptance, a rejection or an SGR. Those who receive SGRs may have to wait until mid-July (yes - JULY) to get their news. Head over to the transfer thread and start meeting some of your classmates!
