rescind?

I got into NU with these senior grades: 4 As, 2 Bs, 1 C
Right now, it looks like I will have: 5 As, 1 C, 1 69 (D)

One of the Bs I had was a very low B in calc that happened to fall to a C. I've had a C all year in Physics, but because I flailed at my final I got a 69. I hate physics. But i'll be a poli sci major so I wonder if that even counts. GRRRRR. With the 5 As that I do have I still have a 3.28 GPA. How does my situation look? Be brutally honest.

truthfully, I do not know about that D…
Typically, colleges require you to maintain at least C’s, but since you have a 3.28 it could be different

My honest opinion is that you will still get in…just be sure to check

EDIT: that was a 3.28 for the second semester

Overall I still have a 3.5

how did you get into NU with a 3.5 overall HS GPA…thats what i want to know…

Im sure NU would have their senior grades policy on their website, I would check there

Had a 4.0 for two years. I had an off year junior year. Things happened. I don’t talk about it.

I managed to do amazing at everything else. I’m not exaggerating when I say amazing also. I knew that my grades were not good so I had to make up for it EVERYWHERE else, and NU saw that I am not a slacker at things I like.

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it - highly unlikely in my opinion that they would rescind your acceptance. At worst you may be put on academic probation upon arrival (really a trivial thing as long as you plan on passing classes once you get here).

I know kids who dropped to all Cs their second semester who weren’t even contacted. The D might be an aggravating factor but I doubt you will see any serious repercussions as a result.

69 is an F at my school
