How often are accepted students whose grades slip rescinded, and what are the criteria? If a admissions administrator is contacted, would that help at all?

If anyone has any info. it would be appreciated.

if you can get into the school in the first place, i think it has to be pretty catastrophic to be unaccepted. without some extreme extenuating circumstance there is no reason for it to happen.

if you're worried about being rescinded, i would definitely recommend talking to an admissions administrator. if you've been accepted to the school, most likely they'll honor their committment to you. still, call/email an administraor if you'd like. i did and my worries were laid to rest.

What happens if you get a C or lower than 3.0? Do you think my excuse for focusing on collegework/swimming might work?

i called months ago w/ this question.

don't fail, don't get arrested and you're set.

Who did you call to find out about rules for rescinding?
Does it vary by college at Cornell?
Are people pretty certain that several C's spring semester won't result in a rescinded acceptance?

C's will NOT get your acceptance rescinded. F's might.

3.0 is safe...

2.5 is safe too. and make that 2.0 if you don't mind academic probation your first year
