wow. i am getting really nervous. it's been a week for me.

they even took down my "congratulations" page when i logged in. its been relplaced with a message saying "we are currently reviewing your app... blah blah blah."

jesn, you need to call them or something. 13 days? sheesh.

"When I filled out the app, the courses listed for my high school there was only one choice for calculus: " Calculus AB & BC (AP) ""

i am assuming you are a california resident. i'm from out of state, so i just went by my transcript when i was filling out my app because i had nothing else to go by

Hey guys I had an independent study course on my application but I couldn't record a grade for it. Do you think this would form grounds for rescindment? In addition, I won't be able to take a course I listed on my second semester at the local college (it's just VPA and I already have satisfied VPA requirements). Do you think I'll be okay?

Congrats alin88...I loved the feeling of getting that email in my inbox. "Your admission decision still stands". It's just so final, like there's nothing I can really do to screw it all up anymore. It feels so much more official now than it did before.

Emmeline...you should be fine. I haven't heard of anyone rescinded so far this year, and some stayed accepted with problems much worse than yours. UCLA seems to stand by their previous admission decision, for better or for worse.

Yes, it can... Getting suspended/expelled from school or getting arrested by the police will probably result in your UCLA admissions being rescinded.

are you sure? because if you were suspended from school in a previous year there was really no question asking that on the application, was there?

Depending on the severity of the suspension, you may or may not be rescinded.

If the suspension were because of fighting, using drugs/alcohol, cheating, etc. then it is likely that the admission would be rescinded when you send in your official transcripts with the noted offense(s). Schools are required by law to submit every piece of information to colleges for consideration.

"You are not obligated to take the AP tests you told us you would take. We encourage that you take them because if you pass the exams you will receive college credit. If you decide not to take the exams it will not affect your admission. However, if you decide to drop the AP course altogether, you must notify us immediately by filling out a Provisional Problem Form through the admissions website.

Thank you

Yes! I was waiting for this confirmation. :)

What's the story with the IB diploma? If I fail to get it, is that grounds for a rescinded admission? I'm slightly worried about IB French SL test. :-/

ib diploma doesnt hinge on one exam most likely. you need to get an average of 4 or better on all your HL exams, if you cant do that then as long as you have 28 points total or more (including tok/ee) then your ok.
