i know plenty of people have probably posted about this already, but i can't seem to find a solid answer on WHAT exactly would make NYU rescind my admission...currently, i am having some problems from a ridiculous physics teacher and my average is definitely going to drop from an 85 to probably somewhere in the 70 range...

my question is, does anyone know of any instances, with specific numbers and situations, in which admission was rescinded?

I have heard that only if you do MISERABLY in a LOT of your classes do they rescind admissions. Furthermore, if you drop in one or two classes it's possible that they'll place you on academic probation. Honestly, just try and keep those grades as high as possible and don't sweat it. You've worked this hard so far, one grade is not going to foil that. :-)

also keep in mind, your school sends your END OF THE YEAR GRADES, so chances are that 70 you have will only drop your year grade down to like 80 or so. IF thats the case i doubt nyu will make any fuss; i think they are fully aware of the senior slide!!

Basically, it's pretty hard to get rescinded. I know a girl who got accepted to Brown but had mostly D's 2nd semester senior year still get accepted. They made her take summer classes though.
