Rescinded application horror stories

EDIT: DARN IT! I mean "Rescinded acceptance!" not application...

I just got my fifth acceptance letter (waitlisted on one... of course my number one choice, too). But it feels too good to be true.

So of course there is a what if...

I have been keeping As and Bs in all of my classes (mostly Bs... unfortunately)... except for one. I will end up with a C for the year, barring tragedy, but my grade is ALL over the place. Quarter 1 it was a 79. Quarter 2 it was a 68 -- which is WAY lower than any grade I have ever gotten. Quarter 3 looks like it is settling at about an 80. Who knows what lay in store for Quarter 4, but hopefully the plague of senioritis that clawed at my throat in Quarter 2 won't hit again.

My cumulative for the first three years was about a 95. I see all of my Bs bringing that down a bit for this year. I do believe my year's average will be about an 88.

I am just really worried that someone will look at my mediocre grades and say, "PFT, NEVERMIND" and rescind my acceptance.

Can I please have horror stories of this happening? If that happens, seriously, what do you do next?

Unless your high school transcript reports quarterly grades along with final grades, colleges will only see your final grades for the year, so it looks like yours will settle around a mid C, which definitely wouldn’t cause a college to rescind your acceptance.
