Rescinded at Penn with 3 As, 2Bs, 1C?

I was recently accepted RD, with first semester grades of 4As, 2Bs (B+ and B-). My AP Calc BC grade has dropped from a B- in first semester to a C right now, and I don’t think it’ll be possible to pull it up to a B- (although I am most definitely trying). I took 5 APs first semester, and 4 right now (Jr year I took 4 as well). What is the liklihood of having admission rescinded with this? Would getting a “4” on the AB Calc AP last year help? It’ll definitely be my first C. My GPA prior to this semester has been around a 3.8 unweighted a tough courseload…

I'm in the same boat as you, as I received a 84 in BC calc first semester. As far as I can tell, chances that your decision is rescined are slim to none without at least one D. I got the final year report form a few days ago to give to my counselor, and there is a box that says "check if any of attached grades are equivalent to D or F". I'm pretty sure Penn understands that, between senioritis, college apps/visits, increased roles in EC's and tougher classes than ever, some people's grades will inevitably fall, through no real fault of their own. Just don't get D's!

On form 8, the final school report you received with your regular decision acceptance package, it only asks your counselor if you received any D's or F's. So I'm guessing they won't rescind your admission for a C

Unless you get C's, D's, and F's across the board, it'll be okay.

i dont think you need to really worry about 1 C
if you start getting D's and F's, i think your acceptance would be in jeopardy
