rescinded because I didn't decline from other college?

Well I am planning on going to CUNY Baruch College and committed there. I have also declined all offers from my other colleges except one (SUNY Old Westbury). Idk why I have not declined their offer yet but I tried todayand I felt weird. Like I thought about what if I get rescinded from Baruch? I can fall back and go to old west right? Or what if I got rescinded because I have not declined west? Like idk, if I decline west, I will end up with only Baruch college. Do people usually keep one college as a back up or something? How does it work? And can I get rescinded from Baruch if I did not decline west (I have not accepted there either but what if they automatically register you?)? What do youguys think I should do?

If deposits are not placed by May 1 (the ususal date) you are automatically telling the schools that you are not attending. No school will hold a spot for you because you did not tell them you were not attending.

If you decide to attend Westbury over Baruch, call them and let them know of your change of mind. There are other threads on this. I can’t imagine Westbury being so full they won’t take you.

Westbury is not for everyone. Be sure that is what you want if you are still considering it.

As far as rescinding admittance, I think everyone worries about it but I don’t think it happens very often. You don’t have back up schools for the “just in case” scenerio. You can only accept one schools offer.

Son told every college he wasn’t attending that he wasn’t attending and he told them where he was attending. Colgate sent him a 6 page survey asking him to compare all his choices. I wonder what kind of response they get in terms of percentage (vs what people say).

If you haven’t made a deposit by now, you’re basically declining the school…so…Baruch it is!
