Rescinded for dropping a class?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if it is possible to be have admission rescinded for dropping a class? The class in question is Spanish 3 (doesn't fulfill any IGETC requirements and is not needed for my major). I basically took the class for "fun" but am finding it more challenging that I assumed, and am worried that I might not do well if I keep it. Besides Spanish, I'm taking 3 other classes, 2 major prerequisites and a math course.

Shouldn’t matter as long as you still have 60+ units at the end.

You should be fine, just contact the UC admissions for everyone you applied to.

Since it is a crap-ton hard to find this information:

I think you should be ok.I contacted UC Santa Cruz because I had dropped a course (amazingly it was part of my major) and they did not rescind my admission.I pressume that as long you have 60 units and good GPA,you’re ok.

How do we make a change through my admissions for UC Davis? I need to report that I am not going to take a class this spring because I couldn’t get in.

contact thier admission office phone number at (530) 752-2971 for UC Davis. good luck!

are you required to complete the class during summer?

If you drop a class, don’t you just tell them you got a W in the end? Why would you have to call them?

@lynx don’t worry about it. You don’t need to call them. You will update your official spring schedule when the apps open back up again on the 9th
