Rescinded?

Hi,

Currently I have been accepted at the University of Texas and Texas A&M through the autoadmission process. I am also waiting on Rice University 's Decision in March.
I am taking AP Calculus BC right now, and am doing average. My school divides semesters into 3 6 weeks period. I made a 76, followed by a 93 and 80 in each six weeks. So I average a 83 in this class. I don't feel like I know my calculus foundation enough to move on to the second semester. So I'm dropping to Ap Calc AB (where I am fairly certain i can maintain an A) in order to slow down an relearn it. I dont plan on taking AP test anyways since I want to relearn the classes in College.

How will this affect me in term of colleges?
Will UT and A&M rescind me? (I've been doing good enough that failing classes would still put my in the top 5%)
How about Rice? How would they feel about this since it's AP to AP and not because of failing?
Thanks!

The only people who can truly answer this are admissions representatives from the schools to which you’re applying. Call them, explain the situation, and ask their advice.
