Rescinding a Transfer Acceptance??

Hi all,

So I just got accepted to Cornell AEM as a sophomore transfer from Notre Dame. What I'm wondering is if I'm at risk of having my admission rescinded since my GPA this semester has tanked. My midterm report was a 3.0 but that was only from 2 out of 4 classes, but I think it might drop down to the high or mid 2's. The reason is that I've become rather unhappy and demotivated at ND and started slacking, but now that I know I'm heading somewhere I really want to go I think I can pick it up these last few weeks of the semester. If I get around a 2.7 is there a big risk of being rescinded? None of the classes I'm in are particularly important to the AEM program, they are just ND's requirements, besides Business Law which I should get a B+ in. And if it matters my GPA first semester was a 3.47...

Also I will be taking around 12 credits over the summer at my local SUNY school (Cornell takes all their credits) to kill some requirements, which should all be easy A's for me with the possible exception of biology which should still be pretty easy for me. Dunno if this is at all relevant but I just thought I should throw it out there.

Thanks for the advice!

This is something I have wondered to! I have been suffering from a lack of motivation every since I had gotten accepted to my transfer school, so I have (hanging my head) treading this line.

My advice is to search Cornell’s website. Sometimes they do list them. If this fails call the university. Calling means you can remain anonymous (or make up a name) if you do not wish to give out yours.

The frustrating thing about this is that every college has their own policy so it really has to come from them.

I thought Cornell releases decisions mid May…
