Does anyone know what the minimum GPA necessary is to keep your acceptance at Davis? I know at schools like Berkeley and LA it is a 3.0, but I heard that the other UC’s are lower.

The admissions contract only says that you cannot have any D’s or F’s and you have to remain UC eligible, so technically, if I am interpreting this correctly, I could have a 2.0 and still go to Davis next fall since 3450 is the cut off for being eligible based on test scores alone, and I have 3610.

I am asking this because I had a 2.67 1st semester (3.33 weighted, if that counts for anything), and will likely have that this semester as well.

for All UC's there's a contract. It states you need to maintain a 3.0. It's on the website...find it. Im not sure if its weighted or unweighted however

Nuveen, this is a campus-by-campus decision. With Davis, earning "C"
grades is adequate...not impressive, but adequate. Also, don't fall into
the trap of thinking about eligibility with test scores alone: minimum
eligibility only gets your application past the computer. No UC admits
it's students on minimums with the possible exception of UC Merced. AP
classes are indeed weighted more than regular classes, so if you took all
AP classes your senior year, and earned "C" grades in all of them, you
would still have a 3.0. "D" grades, however, are "D" grades, even in AP
classes. So far, you 're OK.

O_O so i can get all Cs in my classes? holy smokes. i guess im lucky all my senior classes are AP or college classes ^^. what about the weighted GPA cap though?

My mom thought that I was going to fail a class. I'm pretty sure that I won't fail AP Stats now, but anyways. If you think that you're in danger of getting a D or not maintaining a 3.0 gpa. EMAIL THE SCHOOL RIGHT NOW. Yep. They hate surprises and my mom called in and talked to them for like half an hour. Write them and just tell them that you're trying your best, getting tutoring, blah blah. Just don't make it a surprise for them or else you might not be attending next school year.
