rescinding acceptances?

What exactly do you need to do to get your acceptance to MIT rescinded?
I'm currently taking six classes (the normal at my school is five), and I undoubtedly got into MIT more for academics than for anything else, but I'm also one of those kids who sees high school as almost always a total waste of time, and I prefer to study by myself.
So, I'm hoping to change my schedule and drop two of my utterly boring classes (Chemistry and Economics) in the spring (I'm on a trimester system), and to replace them with something I like a lot more (Quantum Physics), so that I'd only be taking five classes, which would also give me a lot more time to learn stuff on my own (physics, psychology, etc., basically stuff I think I'll major in).

However, my counselor advised me against this, saying that MIT accepted me with the idea that I'd be taking certain courses in the spring, and that it wouldn't be good to change them now, since MIT might see me as slacking off...
But what do you guys think? Would that really cause my acceptance to be rescinded, or would i need to pretty much get Cs in all my classes for that to happen?

I hardly consider Quantum Physics a slacker class...

I think you're more than ok.

the guidance counselors at my school say that i fyou want to change classes, you have to email your college and get their permission.
and based on my friends' experiences with this, most colleges seem to be fine with it, but its a good idea to let the college have a say in it.

It sounds totally reasonable to me, but it would ultimately be the dean's call. Your best bet is to email us (admissions@mit.edu), explain your situation, and ask the dean to approve it - then you'll be all set and won't have to worry about it.
