What exactly is the cutoff for rescinding admission, specifically for transfer students?

I'm taking 24 credits this Fall and I'm not doing poorly, just more B's than A's this semester whereas before I was consistently pulling a 3.8 or higher. My grade point will most likely be a 3.3-3.5 this semester, with no C's or anything worse than that. Probably 5 B's and 2 A's.

The warning they put in the acceptance package is pretty vague, so I wanted to ask you guys to be sure.

You’re fine. You need multiple C’s or a D/F for them to even consider rescinding your admission. Your semester is fairly typical for a lot of seniors after being accepted to even top schools like UMich.

I’ve not heard of that policy for most schools, cabooser. Most colleges will let one C slide, understanding what senioritis does to high schoolers. If they had to read letters of explanation for everyone who earned a C in their last semester of high school, they’d need to hire extra staff in May-July.

If you start getting more than one or two Cs, though, and if you earn anything lower than that, they probably will ask you to explain. It’s always worth keeping grades up.
