Rescinding applications?

I was recently accepted ED. I have not stopped trying in school. But I am currently hitting a rough patch. I have nothing below a B- but I am worried that my grades are going to slip even farther down. The material in all my classes has gotten extremely hard. I am worried that I am going to screw up and get my application rescinded. What should I do? I am freaking out!

Why all of a sudden would you be hitting a rough patch? If it’s a personal problem, then maybe you and/or your parents can talk to your GC about this but if it’s just because all your classes are getting hard in the second semester then you are going to be in for a rude awakening when you are in college. Advanced or AP classes (if you are taking them) are hard. Did you expect that your classes were not going to be difficult? Keep working hard at them and get the necessary tutoring if you need it. There should be no excuses for tough classes. There are not excuses for tough classes at Cornell, so you better get used to it.

You are smart enough to get into Cornell, so you should be able to handle a tough semester in HS. B grades will not get you rescinded.
