Rescinding due to 2nd semester grades?

I've heard that the basis of rescinding is on your overall grades at the time of application. So if someone is a straight-A student and gets one or two Cs second semester, he/she may be rescinded, whereas a B-student who gets one or two Cs may not be. How true is this?

I am generally an A student, though I've gotten a few Bs during junior year. (GPA=3.9 uw, 4.7 w). I had straight As first semester senior year, but will likely get two Bs this semester. Am I safe? I feel like I am, since I've had Bs on my transcript before...but after committing to one school, I've been so much more paranoid about everything.

Don’t worry, I got two Cs in the first semester of senior year and I was still accepted. That was only one class though, I had high As in everything else.

I’ve never heard of someone being rescinded for a couple of Bs. Relax. :)

Two Bs and you’re freaking and you’re an impending Dartmouth freshman. The two are very incongruent. C’mon.

Haha, I was a little paranoid since first semester I got straight As and thought they’d assume it’s a case of senioritis. xD
