Rescinding Offer of Admission - Columbia

Hey guys,

So I was wondering if anyone knew what sort of grades or GPA could put an accepted transfer student at risk for being rescinded at Columbia (or any Ivy for that matter)? I'm just worried cause I did pretty well first semester (obviously good enough to gain me acceptance to Columbia), but second semester isn't looking too good. The past few months have just tough for me because of personal/family issues. So it looks like I may be getting 2 "A's", 2 "B+'s", a "C", and a "C-" (I'm coming from a top 20 private university). Do you think they'll rescind my offer with those grades???

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

You should be fine as long as you’re not failing anything.

From the collected experience of others, it seems as though Fs and Ws raise questions. Call your school at CU and be up front about this. I think you’ll find that there isn’t much to be worried about.
