Rescinding

I'm worried like crazy. Do you think NYU will rescind my admissions even though my other grades pretty much rose?

IB Lit: 70---->88
IB History: 84---->84
IB Chem: 70---->92
IB Chinese: 105---->106
IB Econ: 84---->84
AP Cal: 70---->54!!!!!

I'm in for East Asian Studies though and Cal this year was like mad crazy.

If I'm not mistaken, a 54 is within the failing range. That is grounds for rescinding.

I don't think NYU sees the quarter grade, just the mid-term grade which they've already seen and the average for the course. If you don't fail the course they won't see an F.

If the 54 is the final mark, they will see it, as everyone has to submit a final transcript. If you've failed a course, I'd say you have something to worry about.

I say call up NYU and inform them before they receive your transcript. At least this way you can explain why you received a failing mark and such. Don't worry, one of my friends failed Calculus with a 48 called up Stern and said they were fine with it.

Letting them know beforehand will definitely be better than them receiving your grades without notification of failures.
