rescindment of acceptance

i don't plan to slack off, because it would be dumb to lose four years of hard work for a little laziness, but, the classes i'm taking this year are by far the hardest classes i've taken in all of high school. does anyone have any idea how low you can go before they decide to rescind your acceptance?

It would be really, really bad for their recruitment if acceptances were rescinded on any but extreme circumstances.

As long as you don't slack off you will be fine.

I've heard that multiple C's or any single grade lower than a C- is grounds for rescinding an acceptance.

please - if you've gotten in EA, it shouldn't be hard to avoid multiple C's.

I'm pretty sure that even if you do get multiple C's they won't rescind your acceptance... I mean, the threat is always out there and theoretically they COULD, but the admissions committee accepted you EA because they really want you to attend. Even if you did get multiple C's (or grades lower than a C) I'm fairly confident that if you just wrote them a letter explaining why and promise to do better they would let you off w/ a warning.

I sorta feel what Blur^3 is feeling.

I have an impossible AP Econ/AP Gov teacher...whose class is just...well hard and awfully taught. Also, my AP French class is pretty tough. So i project I'll just shoot for B's in those classes. But I think i can hold down A's in AP Chem, AP English Lit, and AP CS.

Even still, it'll be a welcomed relief to let the two classes go :P

What if i've made all A's the past three years, but all of the sudden I have all B's for my second semester senior year...? O_O

My friend who went to Yale with straight A's all three years had 2 ds in his senior year. Also 4 other grades ever MP were mainly B's. An another girl who was accepted to Yale and Georgetown with a great scholarship from my school had 2ds and 4 cs in her senior year. LOL. My school is so lazy. This is not true for everyone but I hardly believe a few B's will make them rescind your offer of admission. :)
