Rescindment

I understand that the UCs expect us to maintain good GPAs during our senior year in HS. Many of us know that if we end up with all Fs during our second semester senior year then there's a good chance we'll be rescinded. However, often it is not so black and white, so I'd like to know what would happen in the grey areas.

Let's assume that the following students have already received acceptance letters (either formal or informal) from one or more of the UCs:

Student 1 received 2-3 Cs in AP courses (A's on everything else) during his/her second semester of senior year and notified the UCs.

Student 2 received an F in a community college course during the fall/winter quarter (but notified the UCs before he/she received the acceptance letter), retook the course and received an A.

Student 3 received two Cs in community college courses during the fall/winter quarter and did not notify the UCs.

Student 4 got in some minor disciplinary trouble, was suspended for a few days, and notified/explained the situation to the UCs.

What would happen to each of these students? How could each student help his/her situation?

Thanks in advance for the responses. Please feel free to add on some "grey area situations".

All F's is definite grounds for having acceptance rescinded.

The general rule is just 3.0 unweighted with no Ds or Fs. Anything not meeting that will have a chance for the worse.

I don't see a reason for such drastic changes in performance unless it's some extenuating circumstance. You're expected to remain close to the level you've demonstrated during the rest of high school.

i've had one D my whole high school career and i will be making up that semester in summer school--so i am still eligible to apply to the UCs right?

Yes, you can apply. The above guideline is for when you are already accepted.

o gosh. haha, rescindment is currently my ultimate fear! gahh work and study hard senior year!
