does anyone have the collegeboard.com link to the page about rescoring the SAT... i cant find it

also, does anyone know how powerful the scantron machine is for checking answers. That is, I erased numerous times, and when I do that in school the scantron usually doesn't pick up on it, so I'm wondering if the computer that scored the SAT made a mistake on it.

has anyone had their test re-scored and has it gone up ? can it go down, say for example if the computer made a mistake that went towards your favor??

if anyone can answer ASAP, it would be very helpful because im applying early decision so i need to know now...

I have the same problem--I say we might as well risk it. In my case, the reported score was around 100 points below what I'm really confident I should have gotten. If we're right, they will reimburse us the fifty dollars. Just go to the Collegeboard website and type hand-scoring in the search thing, or call them--that's what I did.

On one of the easy math questions where you are SURE you know the answer, mark it, make it CLEAR that you filled in the right answer but make a big smudge on another bubble so the machine picks it up, then always call for a hand scoring and no charge!

"........you would gain NOTHING whatsoever from doing that, but ok."

actually I would gain peace of mind for all the criticial reading/writing questions where its not uncommon for me to erase 2-3 times for 2-3 problems.

I used a number 3 pencil and I'm considering getting it rescored because my writing MC was a little low. I think more stats come out later specifying how many you got wrong, omitted, etc., and if I have any omitted I will get it handscored because I know I didn't omit any.
